Fast dual-band WiFi 7
RT-BE59 uses the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and supports channels up to 160 MHz wide. Wider channels increase data transfer speeds, reduce latency and allow more devices to connect to the network.

Multi-Link Operation
MLO intelligently combines or switches between frequency bands to use the less congested connection and maintain smooth data transmission. The technology improves network stability during gaming, streaming and large file transfers.

More efficient 4K-QAM data transmission
4096-QAM carries more data within the signal and improves transmission efficiency by up to 20% compared with the 1024-QAM used by WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E. RT-BE59 is also compatible with IoT devices using previous WiFi generations.

AiMesh for whole-home coverage
A single router covers up to 2300 sq. ft. or approximately 214 m². AiMesh lets you combine RT-BE59 with other compatible ASUS routers under a single network name, including using an older router as a coverage-extending node.

Strong signal and fast processing
Four external antennas, one internal antenna and five high-power front-end modules help reduce WiFi dead zones. A 2 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB of memory manage heavy network traffic and advanced security features.

Versatile wired connectivity
The 2.5 GbE WAN port is suitable for high-speed internet or wired AiMesh backhaul. A separate 2.5 GbE LAN port lets you connect a high-performance computer, network storage device or switch. Three 1 GbE LAN ports are available for other wired devices.

Multi-layer network security
AiProtection helps protect the router and connected devices against network threats. One-tap security scanning identifies unsafe settings, automatic updates help respond to emerging threats, and notifications alert you when unknown devices connect.

Smart Home Master
Up to three separate SSIDs let you create dedicated IoT, children's and VPN networks. This simplifies device grouping and the application of suitable access, security and privacy rules.

Parental controls without a subscription fee
Safe Browsing restricts access to harmful or inappropriate content. Age-based profiles, usage schedules and internet activity reports help you manage children's online use.

Versatile VPN support
RT-BE59 supports WireGuard, OpenVPN, site-to-site VPN and multiple simultaneous encrypted tunnels. Over Ethernet, WireGuard speeds reach up to 300 Mbps and OpenVPN speeds up to 150 Mbps. Instant Guard creates a secure connection to your home router with a single tap when using public WiFi.

Easy setup
The ASUS Router app guides you through setup in three steps and lets you manage the network, user profiles, security and connected devices directly from your phone.

WiFi 7 and MLO require the connected devices and their operating systems to support the respective technologies. Actual coverage depends on the building structure and router placement.
