What is it?

Product insurance is a protection service for purchases against accidental damage or destruction (due to moisture, breakage, fire) as well as theft (with burglary/robbery), which are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The insurance service provider is ADB “Gjensidige”.

Why is it worth buying?

The insurance compensates for damages resulting from the above-mentioned insured events for a period of 1 or 2 years from the moment the protection is purchased. Combined with the manufacturer’s warranty covering internal device failures, you will have 100% purchase protection.
Purchase insurance includes the following services:
  • Free repair
  • Free replacement
  • Insurance payout
  • Free transportation or technician visit (applies to devices over 10 kg)
  • Convenient damage registration via toll-free phone number or online
Insure your new purchase against risks and your wallet against unexpected expenses.
Note: in the event of product repair or replacement, the customer must pay the deductible amount specified in the Insurance Certificate – 20% of the product value (but not less than €30).
! Insurance can only be purchased together with the product.

Which purchases are covered?

All devices offered in Elesen stores can be insured – computers, mobile phones, video/audio/photo equipment, navigation systems, small and large household appliances.

When is the damage not covered?

  • If the item was lost or left unattended;
  • If the item was lost due to pickpocketing or open theft;
  • If the item was damaged during transportation;
  • If the item was repaired without authorization;
  • If the item was used improperly or not according to the manufacturer's instructions;
  • Due to wear and tear, aging, or corrosion of the item or its components;
  • If the item was lost due to pickpocketing or open theft;
  • Other cases described in the Terms and Conditions.

What to do in the event of an insurance claim:

  • Report the damage using the contact details provided in the Insurance Certificate;
  • Wait for information from the "Service Contract Center" regarding the decision to repair or replace the device;
  • Pick up the repaired or new device at the specified address or accept delivery to your home.
