Fast dual-band WiFi 7
ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor uses the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and supports channels up to 160 MHz wide. Multi-Link Operation intelligently combines or switches between frequency bands to reduce latency and improve connection stability.

More efficient 4K-QAM data transmission
4096-QAM carries more data within the signal and improves transmission efficiency by up to 20% compared with the 1024-QAM used by WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E. Speeds of up to 3.6 Gbit/s support streaming, remote work and the simultaneous use of numerous connected devices.

Wide coverage indoors and outdoors
A single router covers up to 2530 sq. ft. or approximately 235 m² indoors. In an open, unobstructed outdoor environment, coverage extends up to 15,000 sq. ft. or around 1394 m². AiMesh lets you combine the router with other compatible ASUS routers under a single network name.

Two 2.5 GbE PoE+ ports
Both 2.5 GbE ports support automatic WAN detection, while the designated WAN port supports PoE-IN power. The router can be powered through an Ethernet cable or a conventional AC connection, providing greater installation flexibility.

Flexible installation
The included mounting hardware allows the router to be installed on a wall, pole or flat surface. PoE+ reduces the number of cables required in locations where a power socket is not nearby.

IP65 protection for outdoor use
The IP65-rated dust- and water-resistant enclosure operates in temperatures from –30 to 60 °C. Surge and electrostatic discharge protection help safeguard the electronics against electrical disturbances that may occur in outdoor environments.

Efficient cooling and durable construction
A large heatsink and graphite layers help dissipate heat even under heavy loads. The heat-resistant polycarbonate enclosure and stainless steel screws support long-term use in humid environments and changing temperatures.

AiProtection Pro network security
Powered by Trend Micro technology, AiProtection Pro helps protect the router and connected devices against malware and other network threats. One-tap security scanning, automatic updates and notifications about new devices make network monitoring easier.

Smart Home Master
Up to three separate SSIDs let you create dedicated IoT, children's and VPN networks. Age-based profiles, usage schedules and safe browsing settings help you manage children's internet use without a monthly subscription.

Versatile VPN support
ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor supports WireGuard, OpenVPN and multiple simultaneous VPN tunnels. Instant Guard creates an encrypted connection to your home network with a single tap when you are away.

WiFi 7 and MLO require the connected devices and their operating systems to support the respective technologies. The maximum outdoor coverage of 1394 m² was measured in an open and unobstructed environment.
