Island life in a new look
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition lets you experience familiar island life with sharper visuals and smoother presentation. The improved resolution makes nature and characters more detailed and clearer.


New control options
With Joy-Con 2 mouse support, you can place furniture, create designs and draw on the bulletin board more precisely than before. This makes home and island customisation more intuitive.


New item: Megaphone
A new megaphone item lets you call friends on your island by name. The built-in microphone of Nintendo Switch 2 helps locate them more quickly.


More friends at once
Online multiplayer now supports up to 12 players on a single island. Local wireless play supports up to eight participants, making it ideal for shared play sessions.


Camera and communication
GameChat allows you to talk with friends while playing. By connecting a compatible USB-C camera, others can also see your reactions, making co-op play more personal.


Important to know
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition works only on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. If the game card is used on a standard Nintendo Switch, the regular version will be available without Switch 2–specific features.
